Hello,
There is no “one” perfect way to write online.
Nonetheless, popular writers use specific techniques to align with the reading preferences of contemporary audiences. It's crucial to remember that art mirrors society, and today's writers contend in a world where attention spans are limited.
That means successful writing styles in today prioritise efficiency and value the reader's time to the utmost extent possible. “If you can say it in three sentences instead of five, try to say it in two. And if you can say it in two sentences, do your very best to say it in one,” writes Gregory D. Welch
Start with a great introduction.
Your very first sentence is arguably the most important sentence of the entire post.
Start with a hook to capture your readers' attention. Clearly state the purpose of your post and what readers can expect to learn.
Keep it short and clear.
Make the reader feel they’re off to a running start.
You are successful if you can nail the entire “point” of the piece in a few words.
These are examples from a few of my Medium articles.
